Mahoneys is an independent law firm offering a range of commercial advice, transaction support, and dispute resolution services. With offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, we have a dedicated team of lawyers who specialise in body corporate and strata law.

We have a long history of acting for bodies corporate – our work includes acting for unit-holders and bodies corporate in relation to:

• management rights assignments;
• debt recovery;
• by-laws;
• common property subdivisions and sales;
• lot entitlement issues;
• general disputes;
• building disputes;
• the preparation of community management statements; and
• providing general advice in relation to the Body Corporate and Community Management Act and associated legislation.

We also have significant experience helping bodies corporates terminate and sell community titles schemes to developers. Our team are active members of the Strata Community Association of Queensland (SCA) and regularly present at SCA events.
