1. Sedgwick Building Consultancy Division

Our colleagues are a highly experienced team of experts in defect diagnostics, remedial solutions and cost management including; building consultants, quantity surveyors, construction managers and forensic engineers. We partner with governments, commercial insurers, strata groups and body corporates.

The Building consultancy division is a team of specialists in defect identification, remediation an cost verification and management. Our
defects assessment teams have inspected more than 30,000 properties and provided remedial solutions for over 100,000 building defects, ranging from basic painting defects to complex structural and waterproofing failures.

2. Sedgwick Repair Solutions

• Emergency make-safe – Our teams will respond rapidly to your emergency building trade needs across Australia. Our Australian based customer service centre is available 24/7 to take your request.
• Fire and water damage restoration – Our restoration partners can expertly return domestic, commercial or industrial contents and building to their pre-loss condition following exposure, inundation or damage due to water or fire.
• Leak detection – Sedgwick’s leak detection service provides traditional and advanced inspection techniques including CCTV, sonar and infrared technologies. Our expertise and technology solutions enable us to accurately determine the source of water or moisture issues.
• Contamination Response – Sedgwick’s team of specialist hygienists, environmental professionals and remediation partners conduct investigation, assessment and remediation on building and sites suspected to be affected by hazardous contaminants such as:
  • asbestos
  • mould
  • illegal drug manufacture (including methamphetamine).
• Building Repairs – Our repair partners specialize in reinstatement and remedial repairs, working to defined and transparent scopes of work and pricing. • Cost Validation Services – An experienced team of Building Repair Technicians assist clients to understand building costs, ensuring value for money and the right price is achieved on each building project. The validation will consider:
  • A review of site reports, scopes, quotes and variations to assess for validity, accuracy and competitiveness
  • If a more cost effective repair method is achievable while providing a compliant and warrantable repair
